Geoff Horsfield focuses on policies that will make food healthier and more sustainable. He has led efforts to protect state and local pesticide laws, advocates for an end to the use of the toxic herbicide paraquat, and works with lawmakers to strengthen support for regenerative agriculture, family farms and rural communities.

Before joining EWG, he worked for a consulting firm and in government affairs at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Horsfield has also served in AmeriCorps with AIDS United, in Durham, N.C., and as volunteer coordinator for Carolina Tiger Rescue. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree in public policy from the College of William & Mary.
