Donor-advised funds (DAFs) & Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

A donor-advised fund is one of the most flexible and tax-smart ways to support EWG. When you contribute to a DAF, you may receive an immediate tax deduction — then recommend grants to organizations like EWG on your own timeline.

To recommend a grant to EWG through your DAF, use the information below. We accept contributions through Fidelity Charitable, DAFGiving360, National Philanthropic Trust, American Endowment Foundation, and others.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you're 70½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to transfer funds directly from your IRA to EWG — up to $105,000 per year — without counting the distribution as taxable income. A QCD can also satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year, making it a powerful giving strategy for retirees.

To make a QCD to EWG, contact your IRA administrator and request a direct transfer using our information above. We recommend consulting your financial advisor to ensure a QCD is right for your situation.
