Mariana Felix-Kim, MPH

Mariana Felix-Kim is dedicated to advancing safer consumer products and protecting human and environmental health. Before joining EWG, she worked for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Safer Choice program, evaluating product formulations and leading ingredient reviews. She also conducted toxicological hazard and risk assessments under the agency’s Toxic Substances Control Act New Chemicals program.

Felix-Kim earned a master’s degree in public health for global environmental health from George Washington University, where her research examined endocrine disruption in fish exposed to synthetic estrogen. She also has a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Loyola University Chicago, where her published research focused on microplastic toxicology in aquatic organisms.
